Learn Greek

The classses we will be offering in 2018 and the times are as follows.  Dates for K- 7 are the same as Public School terms, (starting 6.2.2018); dates for Adult Greek are specified below.

  • Kindergarten- Tuesdays 4 – 6pm
  • Year 1- Tuesdays and Fridays 4 – 6pm
  • Year 2 – Tuesdays and Fridays 4 – 6pm
  • Years 3 and 4 – Tuesdays and Fridays 4 – 6pm
  • Years 5 and 6 – Tuesdays and Fridays 4 – 6pm
  • Year 7 – Tuesdays 6.15 – 8.15pm
  • Modern Greek for Adult Beginners – Fridays 6.30 – 8.30pm.  Semester 1: Friday 9 Feb – 13 Apr and 4 May – 6 Jul; Semester 2: Friday 27 Jul – 14 Sep and 19 Oct – 7 Dec

You can also enrol in person 5.30 – 6.30pm on 2 February 2018.

The 1st lessons will be on Tuesday 6 February 2018 for K – 7, and on Friday 9 February 2018 for adults.

Annual Tuition fees:

For Kindergarten:  free in 2018 (provided child is also in Kindergarten in English School)

For Year 1: free in 2018 (provided child is also in Year 1 in English School)

For years 2 – 6: $260 for first child, $240 for second, $220 for third

For year 7: $495

For Adults:  $450 per semester (there are 2 semesters) or $800 discounted for upfront yearly payment

To children our School teaches:

  • The Greek language
  • Our Religion
  • Greek History
  • Our traditions and customs
  • Songs and poems

To Adults:  the Course will teach the basics in speaking, reading, listening and writing. The teacher will cater to the individual needs of the participants, catering from novices to those with a basic knowledge of Greek.  The teacher who has lived in Greece will also pass on deeper insight to Greek language and culture.
